Gergely Laszlo komt uit Hongarije waar hij als kunstenaar en galeriehouder werkt. Saskia Monshouwer nodigde hem uit voor de tentoonstelling Dreams are my Reality; the seriousness of play. Zij was gefascineerd door Commuting Artillery, een werk dat hij samen met de fotograaf Peter Rakosi ontwikkelde. Omdat het project Yad Hannah nog in voorbereiding was, werd besloten dat Gergely Laszlo een lezing over het werk zou geven. Gelukkig is de performance nu ook te zien. De lezing zal eind juni plaats vinden in Fort bij Vijfhuizen, rond de tijd dat de performance plaatsvindt in Rotterdam.
Yad Hannah is een communistische kibboets die in de jaren vijftig van de vorige eeuw werd opgericht. De meeste leden waren niet religieus, toch werden er ter gelegenheid van de feestdagen spelen opgevoerd. Dit werd het uitgangspunt voor het onderzoek van Laszlo.

Saskia Monshouwer invited him to be involved in the exhibition Dreams are my Reality; the Seriousness of Play based on a fascinating work ‘Commuting Artillery’ that he and the photographer Peter Rakosi developed. Yad Hannah is a communist kibbutz founded in the 1950th. The members were nonreligious. Nevertheless they performed theatre plays during festivities. Gergely Laszlo was fascinated by this and used it as a base for his re-enactement.
